Chapter 19
I had Ji Kang take Jiang Qingya to a room upstairs.
Once the door was closed, Jiang Qingya's face was filled with shyness.
"Isn't this too rushed?" I walked out from behind the curtain and shook my head.
"It's too late if we wait.
With so much money, who knows if we can finish transferring it in one day." I tied Jiang Qingya up with a rope, while Ji Kang scratched his head on the side.
"What should we do next?" Jiang Qingya started screaming.
"Huayuling, what are you trying to do? How far are you willing to go to harm me? You evil woman, you devil!" She started ranting hysterically, and I wanted to shut her mouth, but it wasn't the right time yet.
I cut my finger with a knife and smeared the blood on Jikang's forehead, then pressed my finger against his lips.
I muttered an incantation in a devout manner, and Jikang stared at me dumbfounded, his breathing becoming rapid.
He swallowed and his Adam's apple bobbed.
"Huayuling, I, I, urgh--" Jikang covered his neck with his hand, his expression filled with fear, and then he turned to the side, as if he was about to vomit.
I immediately covered his mouth with my hand.
After a while, a white, chubby worm crawled out of Jikang's mouth and into the palm of my hand.
I did the same thing and took out the worms from Jiang Qingya's body.
The two worms writhed and entangled in my palm, turning into a puddle of pus that seeped into my skin and disappeared completely.
Jikang and Jiang Qingya were both dumbfounded.
I walked up to Jiang Qingya and grabbed her chin.
"Speak, who helped you with the love spell?" Jiang Qingya shook her head frantically, trying to free herself from my grip.
"I don't know what you're talking about, I have no idea." I snapped my fingers, and Maomao crawled out from my sleeve and onto the back of my hand, raising its two front paws towards Jiang Qingya.
"If you don't speak, I'll let it crawl into your mouth." Jiang Qingya finally broke down when she saw the huge black spider in front of her and cried as she revealed everything.
She said that there was a magical apple tree in the backyard of her house.
Whatever wish she had, she could make it come true by making a wish to that tree.
Jikang was shocked.
"Huayuling, what is that, a tree spirit?" I looked at him speechlessly.
"Do you not understand the principles of science? Where in the world are there tree spirits?" Jikang: "..."
