Chapter 10:
When Luo Yu took Su Jiawen to the U country island, there were no longer any traces of Jiang Qi's marks on Su Jiawen's body.
Su Jiawen took out his passport from his bag, it was a blank one.
Luo Yu took it and flipped through it, asking him, "Haven't you been out of the country before?" "I was supposed to go on an exchange program in the second half of my junior year," Su Jiawen said, leaning next to Luo Yu to look.
Luo Yu avoided his topic and said, "It's okay, you can get a visa upon landing in the U country." Su Jiawen nodded obediently.
Su Jiawen stayed at Luo Yu's house for a few days.
Luo Yu was always with him at home, not going out for more than half a day.
He was not as dull as when he first came back, but still not great.
Luo Yu felt that he couldn't keep Su Jiawen at home all the time without going out to relax.
Before, Su Jiawen was just introverted, but now he was closed off.
He didn't even want to walk Abel, and it took him ten sentences to answer one sentence when talking to him.
If it were in the past, Luo Yu would have kicked him out of the house a long time ago, but now Luo Yu had no way to deal with him.
Su Jiawen also seemed uninterested in going to the island for a few days off.
Luo Yu, however, had some arrangements to please Su Jiawen, so he was a bit nervous.
The plane stopped at an airport close to Luo Yu's house.
Luo Yu leisurely took Su Jiawen there.
He had already instructed Shen Qihen not to have any inappropriate behavior towards Su Jiawen, and Shen Qihen didn't dare to talk much when he saw how serious Luo Yu's tone was towards Su Jiawen.
He just felt that Su Jiawen looked thinner and less happy than before.
On the plane, Luo Yu was attentive to the point that Shen Qihen couldn't keep his eyes open.
When Luo Yu finished peeling the orange for Su Jiawen and went to wash his hands, Shen Qihen stopped him and asked in a low voice, "What's going on with you two?" The little girl next to him was also curious, clinging to his arm and watching.
Luo Yu didn't know how to peel an orange, and all the orange juice spilled onto Shen Qihen's head.
Shen Qihen angrily shouted, saying that Luo Yu suddenly acted as if he had no regard for anything, like a high school boy.
It was the little girl next to him who laughed and couldn't get up.
When they arrived at the hotel, it was exactly twelve noon in the U country.
Luo Yu took Su Jiawen to his own water villa.
The north side of the island was a mountain, and the hotel was built on the mountain, occupying the entire northern coastline of the island.
Luo Yu's villa was on the westernmost side, secluded with no one to disturb them.
Su Jiawen yawned and sat on the sofa, dazed.
Luo Yu touched his face and asked, "Tired?" "A little bit," Su Jiawen said and yawned again.
His eyes were watery, "I feel dizzy." Luo Yu put him in bed, and he fell asleep soon after.
Luo Yu went to the living room, intending to contact Xing Licheng, but he received a call from Shen Qihen.
When Luo Yu answered, Shen Qihen said, "Can we talk?" He invited Luo Yu to the central infinity pool of the hotel.
His girlfriend was playing by the water's edge.
When Shen Qihen saw Luo Yu approaching, he lit a cigarette for him.
The two of them remained silent for a while, and then Shen Qihen asked, "Is it bad for me to be like this?"
"Luoyi couldn't be bothered with Shen Qiyin's comments.
Pointing at the letter by the poolside, he said, 'I remember asking them to remove this, right?' 'What did you mean by asking the hotel manager to do that?' Shen Qiyin asked again.
'Is your brain not working properly?' Luoyi glanced at Shen Qiyin and replied, 'Isn't it what you were thinking?' '...
Have you made a decision?' Shen Qiyin still couldn't believe that Luoyi was just going to let it go like this.
He also thought that Su Jiawen was not bad, but not to this extent.
'What is it about Su Jiawen that attracts you?' Luoyi contemplated for a moment and said, 'He is different from all your ex-girlfriends and ex-boyfriends.' Shen Qiyin couldn't help but laugh and asked, 'Tell me, what's so different about him?' 'He likes me,' Luoyi said casually, without a hint of a smile.
Shen Qiyin had initially wanted to say that everyone you've dated would like you, but when he saw Luoyi's profile, he suddenly fell silent.
He realized that Luoyi was indeed serious and it was not his turn to speak so seriously anymore.
Shen Qiyin forced a laugh and said, 'I can't believe it.
Your temper has improved.' Luoyi shrugged, exchanged greetings with the other two young masters, and went back inside.
After dinner, Su Jiawen was planning to take a walk on the beach when Luoyi pulled him towards the other end of the beach, saying that he had arranged a program.
Su Jiawen asked what it was, and Luoyi turned around, glanced at him, and said, 'Skydiving.' The resistance increased immediately as Luoyi pulled Su Jiawen.
Su Jiawen resisted, saying, 'I'm not going!' 'Why not?' Luoyi turned his head, looking at Su Jiawen with a serious expression.
Su Jiawen's voice suddenly became quieter as he replied, 'I'm scared to jump.' Luoyi forcefully dragged him into a changing room and threw a jumpsuit at him.
Su Jiawen reluctantly put it on.
After putting on the jumpsuits, Luoyi yanked Su Jiawen to the helicopter parked on the flat ground in the distance.
The helicopter was about to take off, and the sound was so loud that nothing else could be heard.
Su Jiawen gave up resisting and was captured by Luoyi onto the plane.
Once they fastened their seat belts, the plane took off and flew over the sea.
Su Jiawen was terrified, but Luoyi calmly helped him fasten the safety belt between them.
Luoyi held Su Jiawen tightly, while Su Jiawen asked loudly, 'Mr.
Luo, can I not jump?' It was much louder than anything Luoyi had heard before.
Luoyi cruelly refused him, saying, 'No.' When the helicopter reached the suitable height, the pilot gave Luoyi a thumbs-up, opened the cabin door, and without hesitation, Luoyi jumped with Su Jiawen.
During the sixty seconds of free fall, just as the person in his arms was about to suffocate from fear, Luoyi forcefully kissed the back of Su Jiawen's neck and deployed the parachute.
Suddenly, all the lights on the northern peninsula went out, and there was complete darkness beneath their feet.
Subsequently, stars began to appear on the surface of the sea, forming three giant words.
The sound of the wind was roaring in Su Jiawen's ears as they were embraced by tremendous forces, floating in the air as if walking on clouds.
Looking down at the sea from a high altitude through their goggles, Su Jiawen stared for a long time before realizing that the combination of those gleaming letters read 'breathe for me.' Slowly, they approached the surface of the sea, as if merging with the lights on the water.
Luoyi held onto Su Jiawen to reassure him and told him not to be afraid; they were going to splash into the water."
They didn't enter the sea together, attached to the parachute were fluorescent materials, and a lifeboat approached them from not far away following the light.
Luo Yu did not ask if Su Jiawen liked it or not, or if he was willing or unwilling.
He secretly put a ring on Su Jiawen's ring finger in the water and called Su Jiawen his wife.
Su Jiawen was still in a state of shock, his whole body was enveloped in the salty and fishy seawater, feeling cold and scared.
Suddenly, he felt something on his hand.
He looked up at Luo Yu.
The lights behind him in the hotel were again brightening, illuminating Su Jiawen's face while Luo Yu faced the light.
Luo Yu had very distinct features, fierce and handsome.
His lips were thin, as he pulled out a gentle smile and joked with Su Jiawen, "You are now Mrs.
Luo." Su Jiawen understood his intention and stood there dumbfounded, unable to show any expression.
Luo Yu thought he was happily stunned, untied the parachute straps on him, and pushed him towards the lifeboat, saying, "Get on the boat first." Su Jiawen climbed halfway up the ladder and turned back, revealing a sweet expression, and called out softly, "Mr.
Luo?" Luo Yu had a strap tied to him, and was busy untying it.
The motor of the lifeboat was too loud, so he didn't hear Su Jiawen's question.
When he looked up, Su Jiawen had already climbed onto the boat.
The next day, the two of them slept until late morning.
Luo Yu took Su Jiawen to a live ammunition shooting range.
He taught Su Jiawen how to shoot.
Su Jiawen's skill level was not great, so Luo Yu personally taught him.
Su Jiawen held the gun and examined it for a while, then fired the first shot, but missed the target.
Su Jiawen took off his earmuffs and threw the gun on the table.
"I thought I would be more accurate after practicing shooting with calloused fingertips," Luo Yu listened to the score and joked.
Su Jiawen rubbed his wrist, which was sore from the recoil, and retorted, "It was all just flipping through a book." Luo Yu pinched his soft hand and asked, "Is that so?" Su Jiawen confidently said, "What else could it be?" "Let's practice some more, I'll go get something for you," Luo Yu turned around and left, while Su Jiawen held the gun and studied it with his head down.
After a while, Luo Yu returned and handed the prepared box to Su Jiawen, saying, "Hold this gun." Su Jiawen opened the box and found a custom Glock 17 inside.
The magazine and bullets were placed separately in two small slots beside the box.
Luo Yu demonstrated how to load the gun and Su Jiawen loaded two rounds.
He handed it to Su Jiawen and said, "Give it a try." Su Jiawen clumsily inserted a bullet, making Luo Yu laugh, "That's not how you do it." Luo Yu covered Su Jiawen's hand with his own, teaching him how to properly load the bullet.
Su Jiawen's fingers were tickled by his touch, and he smiled while evading, then asked him, "Mr.
Luo, why are you giving me a gun?" Luo Yu inserted the magazine into the gun and lifted Su Jiawen's hand, saying, "First, press the slide release." Su Jiawen followed Luo Yu's instructions and pressed it.
"And then..." Luo Yu pressed his index finger against Su Jiawen's index finger joint, "Press the trigger again." The handgun was fitted with a silencer, so the sound of the bullet breaking through the air was very light.
Luo Yu helped Su Jiawen shoot a perfect score.
"I gave you the gun for your self-protection," Luo Yu whispered in his ear, "Study hard." Su Jiawen turned his head and glanced at Luo Yu, then began to study seriously.
They stayed on the island for three days and had to return first because Luo Yu couldn't delay his business.
Su Jiawen had a great time playing.
The gloom vanished instantly.
While packing their luggage in the evening, he said that he didn't want to leave.
Luo Yu walked over and ran his smooth back, saying, "If you like it, I'll bring you here often." Su Jiawen went snorkeling all afternoon without even putting on sunscreen.
Surprisingly, he didn't get sunburned or tanned.
The girl who was with them exclaimed that Su Jiawen was not like a normal person.
They had afternoon tea on the small island where they stopped for snorkeling.
Su Jiawen happily sipped his mango juice while holding a towel, smiling at them.
Shen Qiyun, the lively girl who accompanied them, reached out and touched Su Jiawen's chest.
Luo Yu, on the side, frowned, pulled Su Jiawen aside, and bought a T-shirt with colorful totem prints for him.
When they returned, Shen Qiyun couldn't help but say, "It looks even stranger as if you're not wearing pants." Luo Yu looked down and realized it was true.
Su Jiawen said, "Should I take them off then?" Luo Yu stopped him and went back to buy a pair of red underpants, forcing Su Jiawen to put them on, causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Su Jiawen obediently took the underpants to the restroom and came back, saying, "Mr.
Luo, the waist is too big." Everyone laughed foolishly, and Zhou Zihao intervened, saying, "I think we should go back." Back in the hotel room, Su Jiawen straddled Luo Yu with the floral T-shirt, his hand resting on Luo Yu's forehead while exuding the scent of the sea.
The metal ring on his right finger touched Luo Yu's shoulder, and he held Luo Yu's right hand, kissing his fingertips.
Luo Yu looked at him without saying a word, and Su Jiawen leaned closer and licked his lips.
"Is this how a honeymoon should be?" Su Jiawen asked Luo Yu.
Luo Yu lifted his T-shirt, and Su Jiawen obediently took it off.
Luo Yu kissed Su Jiawen, saying, "Even better than a honeymoon." He lifted Su Jiawen onto the bed and made love to him passionately, just like any ordinary newlywed couple.
It wasn't just because Su Jiawen liked Luo Yu that he appeared different from others.
Luo Yu felt he was different simply because he also liked Su Jiawen.
The next morning, the car was waiting outside.
They were going to leave from the airport on the island.
Su Jiawen looked outside the car and said that he wanted to come back next year, without going anywhere else.
Luo Yu listened to him seriously and half-heartedly agreed.
Little did they know that when they arrived at the airport, they would encounter someone unexpected during the security check.
Jiang Qi walked straight towards them from nearby.
Su Jiawen noticed him first, and Luo Yu noticed the sudden tension in the people around him.
Following their gaze, he saw the person who was eager to get rid of them less than ten steps away.
Jiang Qi, however, didn't look at him.
He locked eyes with Su Jiawen, hesitated to say something, and then glanced towards the security check area.
He quickly walked to Luo Yu and Su Jiawen's side, about to speak, but suddenly there was a loud explosion at the airport entrance.
The entrance collapsed, and the entire steel-framed curtain wall shattered.
Glass rained down from above.
There were many people in the airport in the morning, and screams and cries of pain echoed throughout the entire terminal.
People panicked and fled inside the airport, desperately searching for emergency exits.
Luo Yu reacted quickly and protected Su Jiawen, knocking him down to the ground the moment the explosion occurred.
They were close to the exit, and the smoke from the explosion made it impossible for people to keep their eyes open.
Luo Yu cursed, unable to hear anything with his ears.
He grabbed Su Jiawen's arm and pulled him up.
Su Jiawen remained unexpectedly calm, grabbing Luo Yu and asking, "Are you okay?" Luo Yu could only make out what he said from Su Jiawen's lip movements.
He showed Su Jiawen a reassuring smile and pulled him towards the emergency exit.
The nearest passage was behind the customs gate.
Luo Yu ran a bit slowly, and Su Jiawen glanced down.
Luo Yu's suit pants were soaked with blood, likely from being cut by shattered glass.
"Wait for me!" Jiang Qi ran over from not far away and supported Luo Yu.
"Are you running away for him?" Luo Yu didn't look at him, immediately passing through under his arm, shooting a gun at a gun-wielding figure in the smoke.
That figure was shot in the abdomen by him and fell to the ground, supporting the headset on his ear, attempting to call for backup.
Jiang Qi kicked him unconscious.
Luo Yu finally glanced at Jiang Qi.
Su Jiawen opened the door to the emergency passage, and the two of them entered.
Jiang Qi forcefully squeezed in as well and locked the door from the inside.
"Why are you here?" Luo Yu could hear again and asked Jiang Qi coldly as they walked.
Jiang Qi said, "Do you believe me if I say I'm here for a vacation?" Luo Yu glanced at him again, turned his head to look at Su Jiawen's pale face, and kissed his brow bone, saying, "Don't be afraid." Jiang Qi's expression was as if he had been fed feces.
When they reached the corner, Luo Yu suddenly pulled Su Jiawen.
Jiang Qi didn't stop, and someone wearing a headgear and carrying a submachine gun approached them from around the bend.
Jiang Qi cursed again, and the figure raised his gun and fired a burst of bullets.
Jiang Qi dodged quickly but still took a bullet in his right arm.
He gritted his teeth and groaned, hiding behind the corner.
Luo Yu even kicked him, and Su Jiawen pulled Luo Yu back before he could kick him out again.
Jiang Qi switched the gun to his left hand, opened the mirror on his watch, and looked at the situation of the figure.
He slowly moved closer to the corner with his gun raised.
Jiang Qi fired a series of shots toward the figure, with the last bullet hitting the opponent, the sound of bullets piercing through flesh clear and real.
His magazine ran out, and they hurriedly walked forward to the staircase.
The emergency exit of the airport was downstairs, but the exit door was locked.
Jiang Qi pushed the iron chain and turned to ask Luo Yu, "Do you have any bullets left?" Luo Yu aimed the gun at Jiang Qi's head, saying, "I have plenty left." Jiang Qi cursed and before Luo Yu could pull the trigger, he felt something hard pressing against the back of his head.
He didn't need to turn around to know it was the Glock 17 he had given to Su Jiawen.
Luo Yu wanted to turn around and look at Su Jiawen, but Su Jiawen used some force in his hand to signal him not to move.
"Jiawen, what are you doing?" Luo Yu didn't confront Su Jiawen and calmly asked him.
"Mr.
Luo," Su Jiawen's voice was still soft, but Luo Yu felt that something was different from before.
It seemed like he had carefully considered his words before saying, "Were you being impulsive?"
