Chapter 13:
The screams and noises were deafening.
I lay on the cold ground, automatically blocking out all the surrounding noise.
I just stared blankly at the disheveled man in front of me.
A person who was supposed to be on a business trip abroad had unexpectedly appeared here.
Zhou Yun took off his coat and wrapped me in it, holding me in his arms.
"Xiao Xiao.
"He kept calling my name incessantly, saying, 'Look at me, don't fall asleep.' 'Why is this happening? This isn't right, this isn't right,' he muttered softly.
His voice trembled, filled with sorrow.
I looked at him with confusion.
It seemed that not only was my vitality fading away, but my mind had also become sluggish.
Zhou Yun wanted to hold me tightly, afraid of hurting me.
I felt something cold on my face.
It turned out to be Zhou Yun's tears, falling down like they were free.
This liar, Zhou Yun, didn't he say that he wouldn't be sad? The sky was still gloomy.
They were waiting for the ambulance, and I was waiting for death.
I knew that even if they took me to the hospital, I wouldn't survive.
In the end, it wouldn't be a regret to see Zhou Yun again.
After all, the person in front of me was the one I loved throughout my youth.
Snowflakes began to fall from the sky.
The first snow of the year had arrived unexpectedly.
I didn't expect to see the first snow with Zhou Yun again before leaving.
We used to watch the first snow together every year.
This would be the last time.
Let the first snow bless our old age.
Zhou Yun and I have seen so many first snows together, but we didn't grow old together.
Perhaps he really did consider a future with me.
The snowfall intensified.
Trembling, I reached out my hand and caught a small snowflake.
My eyelids were growing heavy.
'Xiao Xiao, Nian Nian, Lin Nian, don't fall asleep.
I'm begging you, I'm begging you,' Zhou Yun held onto me helplessly, tears streaming down his face.
I struggled to open my eyes, using my last bit of strength to wipe away his tears.
Zhou Yun held my hand in his palm, trying to warm me up.
Unfortunately, it didn't work.
Zhou Yun cried out in despair, 'I'm begging you, wake up and look at me, okay.'
