Chapter 4:
I told my agent, "Don't worry, I will find a way." Then I picked up the scissors again.
After gesturing in front of the mirror, I harshly scratched my shoulder.
"Ah!!!" The skin burst open and twisted, warm blood splattering onto the mirror.
I was in so much pain that my whole body convulsed, almost unable to make a sound.
When the intense pain eased a bit, I calmly took photos of the wound and blood-soaked clothes.
Then I sent the pictures to my parents, who were on vacation.
"My brother has gone mad.
He stabbed me for his girlfriend." "Don't contact him for now.
I'm afraid he'll attack me again." My parents responded almost immediately: "Tend to the wound first.
We'll come back tomorrow." I obediently replied with an okay, and then had the driver take me to the hospital.
After getting my wound bandaged in the examination room, as I was about to leave, I unexpectedly bumped into someone.
"Who the hell, don't you have eyes—Lu Shuyin?!" The man in front of me had an aggressively-shaped face, with a fierce and rebelliousness that resembled the coldness of winter.
His gaze swept sharply over me.
When he saw the blood seeping through the gauze on my shoulder, his expression suddenly changed.
"How did you get injured? Who did it?" Shi Yu.
We used to be neighbors; he was also one of Lu Huanzhou's best friends.
The two of them even fought for me before.
Until the age of eighteen, Lu Huanzhou believed in Buddhism, and he always held onto his Buddhist beads.
Shi Yu thought he was an idiot and had a falling out with him.
Later, the two of them became rivals in the business world.
Shi Yu often confronted Lu Huanzhou to provoke him.
He even snatched away quite a few projects.
So in the original novel, he became the major antagonist in the later stages and almost killed the female lead.
I stared at his young and untamed face, and suddenly a thought flashed in my mind.
-- In this world, it's not just Lin Bailu who can distort right and wrong and act.
Thinking of this, I slightly lowered my head, revealing my forehead covered in scattered hair, and my fair and fragile neck.
Then my eyes reddened, and tears fell like a string of pearls.
"It's my brother." "My brother wants to kill me." When I said the last three words, my voice choked and became indistinct.
Because of the hidden force in my arm, the blood from the wound rushed out even more violently.
Shi Yu stared straight at me, as if his eyes had been pierced by the blood-red color that soaked through the gauze: "What did you say?"
