Chapter 12:
Shen Heming has liked me for a long time, but he refuses to admit it.
He firmly believes that I dislike him.
This is probably because I have always enjoyed teasing Shen Heming since we were young.
He was stubborn and arrogant, and it was amusing to see him frustrated when provoked.
So it escalated to the point where Shen Heming and I would argue as soon as we met, and everyone thought we didn't get along.
I have seriously reflected on it for a few seconds afterward, but I still haven't changed.
I do have a somewhat unpleasant temperament, and I have always believed that only I can make Shen Heming lose his cool.
Until my family went bankrupt.
Shen Heming was still Shen Heming, but I was no longer the spoiled heiress who could squander money.
However, the engagement between my family and the Shen family was still in place.
"I just don't want my mom to nag me about finding a partner." Shen Heming snorted, "So even if we get married, let's not interfere with each other, and don't think about using this to gain popularity." Half a year after I entered the entertainment industry, Shen Heming also joined.
I stared at him for a while.
Seeing him nervously avoiding eye contact, I casually nodded.
I really didn't want to rely on Shen Heming or the Shen family.
So even after I learned from Aunt Wen that Shen Heming entered the entertainment industry because of me, and it was his insistence to marry me, and even advanced the wedding date, I still abided by the agreement of "not interfering with each other, not seeking popularity" with Shen Heming.
It was said that Shen Heming was so angry that he cursed me behind my back for a long time, calling me a stubborn donkey.
But I think he was cursing himself.
Anyway, I don't admit it.
