Chapter 16
both of us reacted quickly.
Da Ge stumbled from Jiang Haoyan's collision, and I immediately grabbed Jiang Haoyan's arm, intending to run.
Unexpectedly, Da Ge quickly stood up and delivered a flying kick, knocking both of us over.
We fell to the ground in a sorry state, and Da Ge walked over and stepped on my back.
'Run, keep running!' Damn it, he truly is a mercenary, strong and quick in his reactions.
We were completely no match for him."
I lay on the ground, and right in front of me was a clump of rotten mud that fell off a zombie.
I pinched the mud and flung it backwards, just smearing it on Dage's face.
"Deadly Corroding Powder!" Dage screamed in agony, covering his face with his hand.
I took the opportunity to grab Jiang Haoyan and ran wildly outside.
The moonlight was beautiful tonight, casting a gentle glow on the country road, outlining the village's contours.
Jiang Haoyan and I ran for a while and suddenly ran into a group of people.
Both sides immediately hit the brakes and stopped, letting out a scream.
Store manager Hou: "Zombies, zo- huh? It's you? Damn it, chase them!" I raised my hand and gave Store manager Hou a slap.
"Chase your mother! There are two zombies chasing me, run!" I pushed him aside and ran ahead with a few others.
After a moment of hesitation, Store manager Hou immediately followed me with his group.
Jiang Haoyan and I, being young and strong, quickly lost them after making a few turns.
We stood in an alley, panting heavily.
Just as I was about to speak, I suddenly noticed a figure at the entrance of the alley.
Messy hair, foul smell, a zombie.
I took a deep breath and stretched out my hand to stop Jiang Haoyan, and we both pressed against the wall.
This zombie was tall, almost the same height as Jiang Haoyan, and not very old, around thirty or forty years old.
Its eyeballs bulged out and it slowly walked past us.
When it passed Jiang Haoyan, the zombie suddenly stopped.
Jiang Haoyan took a sharp breath and his heart raced, feeling like he was about to wet himself.
The zombie slowly leaned its head towards us.
Its skin had a purplish-blue color, and countless maggots and centipedes crawled on its disheveled hair, almost falling onto Jiang Haoyan.
Jiang Haoyan was on the verge of tears.
