Chapter 24:
In the end, Tuyan still didn't confess because he fell asleep from exhaustion.
Gu Chenbai wiped Tuyan with a wet tissue, dressed him in pajamas and sleep pants, and, like a maniac, touched him all over from head to toe, even rubbing Tuyan's chest over the flannel fabric.
'Bunny baby,' he softly called.
Tuyan whimpered and buried his face in Gu Chenbai's neck.
The mild scent of cedarwood and sweet milk mingled together, creating a warm fragrance that filled the room.
Moonlight seeped through the gaps in the plain curtains, secretly climbing onto Tuyan's feet and preparing to attack his ankles.
But a sudden movement of the blanket pressed it down tightly.
Gu Chenbai hugged his fluffy rabbit plush toy, covered them both, and finally fell asleep peacefully.
A dreamless night.
When Tuyan woke up, it was already past nine o'clock, and Gu Chenbai, unusually lazy, stayed in bed.
As soon as Tuyan opened his eyes, he saw Gu Chenbai still sleeping, one arm draped over Tuyan's waist.
Tuyan didn't dare to move, afraid of waking him up.
Memories of yesterday afternoon flooded his mind, instantly clearing his thoughts.
As he remembered his pathetic crying yesterday afternoon, his face burned from his neck to his cheeks.
But he seemed to have forgotten that the culprit was the alpha sleeping beside him.
After another ten minutes or so, his stomach embarrassingly growled.
Gu Chenbai quickly woke up, his drowsy eyes tightening as he tightened his arm around Tuyan, and he murmured, 'Good morning, Bunny Baby.' Tuyan didn't know what to say.
He tilted his head slightly to look at Gu Chenbai and nervously looked away when their eyes met.
Gu Chenbai smiled and reached out to touch Tuyan's abdomen.
'Is Little Bunny Baby hungry?' Gu Chenbai sat up and said to himself, 'Alright, Dad will go make breakfast for you.' Tuyan watched Gu Chenbai's back and couldn't help but pout.
He lightly patted his own stomach, and a somewhat unethical thought occurred to him.
However, he temporarily set aside this wicked thought when he remembered that it seemed to have worked on this little guy last night.
After breakfast, Gu Chenbai said he wanted to go to the supermarket to buy some ingredients and asked Tuyan if he wanted to go together.
Tuyan lowered his gaze and didn't go against his true feelings.
Instead, he nodded and went back to the bedroom to change clothes."
Gu Chenbai leaned against the door frame, looking at him with a sense of entitlement.
Tu Yan, annoyed, pushed Gu Chenbai out with his arm.
Gu Chenbai smirked and asked, "Bunny, is this pajama set specially made for me?" Tu Yan remained silent.
"Hey, didn't you promise me that you would answer all my questions?" Tu Yan gritted his teeth and said fiercely, "When did I promise you that I would answer all your questions? And why are you bombarding me with questions so early in the morning?" Gu Chenbai saw that Tu Yan was about to explode, so he smiled and turned around before Tu Yan could do anything.
After Tu Yan returned, his popularity remained high, so going out in public was risky.
Therefore, they chose a supermarket with low foot traffic.
Tu Yan hooked his arm with Gu Chenbai's and watched him pick and choose among a pile of unnamed vegetables.
Unable to help himself, he asked, "Gu Chenbai, why do you like buying groceries so much?" "Don't you think this process is interesting? Walking hand in hand with the person you like in the supermarket, buying ingredients you like, and thinking about how to cook them into delicious meals.
First, buy meat, then buy vegetables and fruits.
When we reach the snack aisle, I'll get you two bags of juice gummies, and then we'll go home." Gu Chenbai turned to look at Tu Yan and thought for a moment before saying, "Bunny, I'm not a very ambitious person.
I don't want to earn a lot of money or save the world.
I just want to live a simple and happy life with the person I like." Tu Yan was moved but also felt sad.
"But I...
I might not be able to do that.
I have a lot of things that I can't control, just like how you like going to tourist attractions for photography, and I can't accompany you." Gu Chenbai squeezed Tu Yan's hand and reassured him, "It's okay.
If we can't go to tourist attractions, we can take a walk downstairs.
If we can't go to restaurants, I'll cook for you at home.
As long as we're together, nothing else matters." Tu Yan was once again drenched in sweetness by Gu Chenbai and was about to say something affectionate when Gu Chenbai suddenly leaned down and whispered in his ear, "If we can't go out, we can make a little bunny here at home, just the same." "..." Tu Yan grabbed a potato from the table and threw it at Gu Chenbai's hand before walking away in a huff.
After finishing their grocery shopping, Gu Chenbai finally managed to coax Tu Yan and held his hand as they left the supermarket.
The 11 a.m.
sun was dazzling, and Tu Yan squinted his eyes, leaning against Gu Chenbai.
"Are you tired? Want to take a taxi back?" Gu Chenbai asked.
Tu Yan shook his head.
"Let's walk back.
We're not hungry anyway, so we can have lunch later." They walked side by side on the sidewalk, surrounded by people rushing home from work.
They all seemed to be in a hurry, except for a few elderly people pulling small carts of groceries.
Tu Yan suddenly spoke, "Gu Chenbai, let me tell you about my past.
It's actually quite boring, but if you want to hear it..." "I want to hear it.
Take your time."
