Chapter 23:
Tu Yan's house was bought by the agent, a fully furnished apartment.
Tu Yan only mentioned the location and layout requirements at that time.
When the agent asked him about the style, Tu Yan found it bothersome, so he said it didn't matter.
Since he lived alone and rarely went back due to filming, it didn't matter how well the decoration was done.
Tu Yan didn't have much concept of 'home', let alone a sense of belonging.
So when the agent reluctantly told him, "There is a suitable apartment, but the decoration style is a bit outdated," Tu Yan didn't even think about it and waved his hand, saying it didn't matter and there was no need to redecorate, then he transferred the money.
As a result, the circular ceiling lamp in the living room was left behind.
Although the design was outdated, the brightness was still impressive.
Every time Tu Yan walked from the bedroom to the living room, he had to squint his eyes.
He opened the door and walked out, seeing Gu Chenbai sitting on the sofa, fastening the buttons of his pajamas.
The bright light accentuated the contours of his side profile, giving him a handsome appearance.
His hair wasn't completely dry, falling in a few strands over his forehead, adding a touch of unruliness to his calm temperament.
This reminded Tu Yan of a picture of Gu Chenbai playing basketball when he was fifteen or sixteen years old.
Tu Yan was bewildered and walked towards Gu Chenbai.
Gu Chenbai turned his head when he heard the sound, and he was momentarily stunned when he saw how Tu Yan was dressed.
However, he quickly regained his composure, finished fastening the last button, and raised his mouth to ask Tu Yan, "What's the matter?" Tu Yan didn't speak, he reached out, took off the necklace around his neck, and then presented it to Gu Chenbai.
Gu Chenbai's expression changed slightly, but he didn't accept it.
Tu Yan unclasped the clasp of the delicate chain, took off the wedding ring, and then took Gu Chenbai's hand, placing the ring in his palm.
The ring was a simple design, but it had two small hollowed-out spaces on either side, looking like a pair of rabbit ears when examined closely.
The inside of the ring also had Tu Yan's initials engraved.
"When did you make this ring?" Tu Yan asked.
Gu Chenbai replied, "Two days before the wedding." "It's crooked and uneven, quite tacky," Tu Yan commented, "Did you carve it yourself?" Gu Chenbai looked at the ring in his hand, smiled lightly, and said, "Yes, I learned it myself, but the wedding date was too close, so I couldn't have it custom-made." "What were you thinking when you carved this?" Gu Chenbai looked at Tu Yan, his eyes full of ambiguous meaning, and said, "I thought you might find it distasteful." Tu Yan lifted the blanket, sat next to Gu Chenbai, and said, "I don't find it distasteful at all." He then asked, "What else did you think?" "You're marrying me, it feels like a dream, unreal." "Unfortunately, I shattered your dream." Gu Chenbai smiled, shook his head, and said, "No." Tu Yan leaned back, and Gu Chenbai grabbed a cushion to cushion his waist.
Tu Yan leaned against it and quietly watched Gu Chenbai, while Gu Chenbai's gaze fell on Tu Yan, looking at his fluffy collar, his delicate skin that was almost as white as his pajamas, and the half-exposed waist that peeked out from the hem.
Tu Yan went straight to the point and asked, "Who is Xiaochu?"
"Gu Chenbai spoke frankly, 'I really don't remember this person.' 'Then what about Miss Ruan?' Gu Chenbai raised an eyebrow, 'Miss Ruan?' Tu Yan eavesdropped shamelessly and confidently, lifting his chin towards Gu Chenbai, urging him to answer.
'She and I grew up together, childhood sweethearts.
She was my beta, and our families used to joke that we would get married after graduation.' Before Tu Yan finished speaking, tears fell silently from his eyes, landing on the sleeve of his flannel shirt.
Tu Yan pretended to rub his eyes, secretly wiping away the tears, and asked, 'Then why didn't you get married?' Gu Chenbai replied with a question, 'Then why aren't you together with Qi He?' Tu Yan was speechless.
He wanted to say: because I don't like him.
But he was afraid that Gu Chenbai would ask further, so he closed his mouth.
Gu Chenbai placed the ring on the coffee table and smiled, 'Bunny, this is how we'll be from now on.
If you don't say anything, I won't answer your questions either.' Tu Yan glared at Gu Chenbai with red eyes, and after a while, he let out a sentence through clenched teeth, 'I don't like him.' 'I don't like Miss Ruan either.' Gu Chenbai looked at Tu Yan, enunciating each word, then reached out to wipe away the tears from the corners of his eyes.
'Then why did you invite her to dinner?' 'Why are you jealous?' Gu Chenbai continued to ask, seemingly determined to force Tu Yan to speak.
But that was Tu Yan's forbidden zone, the impregnable wall he had built over the years.
If this wall were to collapse, Tu Yan would be like a person stripped naked and paraded in the streets, completely falling into an abyss with no way out.
He couldn't hand over the switch of his emotions to someone else.
'Gu Chenbai! Leave my home.
This is my house, I don't need you to take care of me.
Leave.' Tu Yan suddenly jumped off the couch, smashed the empty necklace into Gu Chenbai's hand, and pointed to the door, commanding him.
Gu Chenbai looked deeply at Tu Yan, then took out a clean set of clothes from the paper bag that Gu Chaocheng had sent, unbuttoning his pajamas unhurriedly, preparing to change.
Tu Yan clenched the cuff of his sleeve tightly, the taste of blood on his lips from biting too hard.
He had so many things he wanted to say to Gu Chenbai, but he always messed up.
He always couldn't control his emotions.
He clearly wanted to ask Gu Chenbai if he still loved him, but the words at the tip of his tongue turned into knives.
In reality, he was hurting more than Gu Chenbai.
Gu Chenbai changed his clothes, held his cane, and got up, walking past Tu Yan towards the door.
Every step Gu Chenbai took was torturous for Tu Yan.
The sound of the door handle turning was the final straw that crushed Tu Yan.
He caught up, pushed Gu Chenbai's hand away, squeezed in front of him, blocking the door handle, crying while saying, 'I have one more request.' 'Tell me.' 'Touch him, please?' Tu Yan pointed to his belly, tears streaming down his face as he said, 'Touch him...
even though he is still very small, too small to know if he will grow up smoothly...
but if you touch him, he will feel it, just once, just once, I beg you, there won't be another chance.' Tu Yan lowered his head, crying, not seeing the tears in Gu Chenbai's eyes.
Gu Chenbai reached out, slipped his hand under the hem of Tu Yan's nightshirt, and placed it on Tu Yan's flat abdomen, where a little life was nurturing.
That was his little bunny."
Tu Yan trembled, tears streaming down his face, but he was afraid of being looked down upon by Gu Chenbai.
So he wiped his tears with his sleeves.
Gu Chenbai pulled his arm down and held him tightly in his arms, helplessly saying, "You silly child." Tu Yan was stunned for a second, then quickly hugged Gu Chenbai back.
He buried his face in Gu Chenbai's neck and asked, sobbing, "Aren't you leaving?" This time, Gu Chenbai didn't respond with a question.
"I'm not leaving.
I never thought of leaving.
If you don't stop me, I'll find an excuse to stay." Tu Yan looked at him teary-eyed, hoping for an answer.
"I love you, from beginning to end, it has never changed." "I originally wanted to force you to explain everything, but seeing you cry, it breaks my heart." "The child is mine, I know that you came during my ovulation period, and I also know that I lied this afternoon." "I don't want to force you to say that you love me, I just want you to tell me why you're scared.
What happened to you in your childhood, what unpleasant experiences you went through, the grievances and worries that you can't express, I hope you can tell me." "With me, you are always perfect, ever since the day you appeared, that has been a constant value set by the heavens." "Even when you're angry, I find it cute." "Of course, there was a slight moment when you wanted a divorce that wasn't cute at all.
I got so angry that I wanted to drag you back and lock you in a dark room.
But I didn't expect you to come back the next day on your own and help me..." Tu Yan covered Gu Chenbai's mouth, not letting him finish.
Gu Chenbai still wanted to speak, so he bit Tu Yan's little finger and whispered in his ear, "I remember what you did, and I remember what you said.
You said, 'Husband, I was wrong.'" "No..." Tu Yan instinctively denied, but fell silent under Gu Chenbai's gaze.
"My darling." Gu Chenbai returned to his usual tenderness and kissed Tu Yan's lips, calling him affectionately.
Tu Yan sniffed and mumbled, "Don't call me by my full name." "Okay." Gu Chenbai said it several times, "I love you." Tu Yan looked at Gu Chenbai and suddenly said, "When I first entered the industry, a producer wanted to take advantage of me.
He got me drunk and forced me to take drugs, saying that I could exchange a role for sleeping with him.
I didn't agree, and I smashed his head with the bedside lamp and beat him up.
Later, I was hidden away for six months and became a background artist in various crews." Gu Chenbai gently rubbed his hand, feeling distressed.
Tu Yan lowered his head and softly expressed his central thought, "I won't sleep with someone I don't like." Gu Chenbai leaned closer, teasing Tu Yan as if sharing a secret, "Bunny, you can't beat around the bush when you speak.
I'm really dumb and can't understand." "You understand," Tu Yan said in a muffled voice.
With a smile on his lips, Gu Chenbai kissed Tu Yan's lips and made him weak and boneless, clinging to Gu Chenbai.
"Go to the bed and slowly tell me what you want to say, okay?" Tu Yan was still a little dazed, but he was pulled into the room by Gu Chenbai until he was pinned down by him.
When he felt Gu Chenbai's lips kissing his lower abdomen, he suddenly came back to his senses.
"Were you acting the whole afternoon?" Gu Chenbai chuckled, "So you didn't hear what I just said?"
"Tuyan angrily grabbed Gu Chenbai by the collar, but before he could say a word, Gu Chenbai grabbed him by the back of his neck and kissed him.
Tuyan pushed Gu Chenbai away and pleaded, 'No, we can't...' Gu Chenbai smirked and said, 'Hmm, I won't.' However, his hands didn't stop, and he shamelessly asked Tuyan if what he did on that sensitive day was right or wrong.
Tuyan obediently complied as Gu Chenbai held him and thrust inside him.
Having cried too much that day and feeling disoriented from the turmoil, Tuyan vaguely felt that Gu Chenbai had suddenly turned into a cunning fox, and the way he looked at him resembled a predator eyeing its prey.
But Gu Chenbai didn't give him much time to think.
Just as he was about to climax, he turned Tuyan over, lifted his nightshirt, and took Tuyan's little red grain into his mouth.
Tuyan didn't even have the temper to argue because Gu Chenbai said that after they were done, he wanted to hear Tuyan confess.
For the first time in his life, Tuyan took the initiative to wrap his arms around Gu Chenbai's waist and asked him to last longer.
