Chapter 1:
As I was dozing off on the couch, the doorbell rang.
I lazily put on my slippers and opened the door, only to see a drunk Lu Qingyu stumbling in.
The male assistant by her side hugged her waist, and when he looked at me, there was a hint of provocation in his eyes.
"Chairman Shen, Lu always drinks too much, so I'm sending her back today," he emphasized the words "send her back" as if he were a natural host.
"Go make a pot of sobering soup for Lu, but don't add the longan, she doesn't like it." Then he smiled with a hidden meaning and said, "Every time she gets drunk, she wants to drink it in the morning." I found it somewhat amusing.
The tactics of a newly graduated young man asserting dominance were quite clumsy, and I couldn't muster the effort to pay him any attention.
I took Lu Qingyu's car keys from his hand and said indifferently, "Sure, thank you.
Do you need me to call a taxi for you to go back?" "Lu Qingyu is really something.
You've been with her for so long, and she doesn't even buy you a car.
Instead, she has you drive the company's car to send her," Chen Xiangheng's expression changed, and he stopped talking.
I couldn't be bothered to say more to him, so I closed the door and kicked the slumbering Lu Qingyu on the couch.
"Alright, stop pretending." Lu Qingyu didn't open her eyes, but her tone didn't sound drunk at all.
"Thanks.
He's been clingy lately, always wanting to marry me.
I plan to ignore him for a while." I remained silent.
Chen Xiangheng, on the other hand, reacted differently.
Over the years, Lu Qingyu and I had been doing our own thing.
She had various suitors coming and going, none lasting longer than three months.
She was naturally fickle and never stayed with one person for too long.
At the time, I thought I would be the exception.
However, just three years into our marriage, she couldn't resist indulging in extramarital affairs.
Chen Xiangheng, on the other hand, was different.
He had been with her for two years.
It was clear that Lu Qingyu genuinely liked him.
If it were someone else, she probably would have already moved on, but this time she just wanted to ignore him.
In the past, I would have been furious.
But now, I remained expressionless and said, "Lu Qingyu, let's get a divorce." Lu Qingyu lifted her eyelids and looked at me with a disdainful laugh.
"Shen Jiayue, are you going crazy again? Didn't we agree to do our own thing? Why are you making a fuss?" She turned over, with her two legs wrapped in stockings bending on the carpet.
She absentmindedly held my hand, adorned with wine-red nail polish.
"Let's say it's my mistake today.
I shouldn't have let him send me back.
It's just a young and clueless boy, don't take it seriously." I pulled my hand away and took out a divorce agreement from the drawer of the coffee table, placing it in front of her.
"I'm serious.
I have someone else now."
