Chapter 5:
The moment Jiang Yu's office door opened, I saw Tang Chu sitting on the sofa with his head slightly lowered.
He was holding a piece of paper in his hand.
Jiang Yu, on the other hand, sat there with a cold expression, suppressing her anger.
There were people who said in the past, 'Although Jiang Yu and I came from the same womb, only our eyes resemble each other.' The corners of her eyes were upturned, and when she wasn't smiling, she naturally exuded a cold aura that kept people at a distance.
Unfortunately, neither of us liked to smile.
And Jiang Yu had never smiled at me.
'Although Tang Chu was parachuted in, he has the ability for this position.' 'Jiang Zhe.' When she called my name, Jiang Yu furrowed her brows.
'If you have grievances, just say it directly.
Backbiting and isolating Tang Chu with your colleagues, Jiang Zhe, is your maliciousness ingrained in your bones?' It had only been a short period of time.
I glanced at Tang Chu from the corner of my eye, and he happened to look up, meeting my gaze.
There was a hint of grievance on his face, his eyes slightly red, and his tears reflected fragments of light.
Then he immediately lowered his head.
The actors in this farce were all in place, waiting for me to continue the play, but I had no interest in playing along with them.
'It's not my business what others say.' 'Besides--' 'Everyone isn't stupid.' Sobbing and the sound of an object hitting the ground rang out together.
The precious pen that was originally placed on the table was now broken into pieces.
Black ink spread by my feet.
'Jiang Zhe! You--' A light, fluttering piece of paper fell onto her desk.
Jiang Yu's words were cut off, and when she saw the words on it, her anger surged back: 'Jiang Zhe!' 'Are you still a child?' 'Are you sulking?' She crumpled the brand new resignation letter into a ball and tossed it back at my feet like it was garbage.
But I wasn't sulking.
I knew a long time ago.
I don't have the right to sulk.
Only someone who can be appeased like a child has that right.
And I don't."
"I'll go find HR myself." As the door closed, her angry shout was trapped inside with me.
But before I took a few steps, Tang Chu caught up with me.
"A Zhe," his voice still sounded nasal, carefully reaching out to hold my hand.
"A Zhe, don't be angry.
I don't want this position, I'll go talk to Sister Yu, don't be upset." "If I knew, I wouldn't have come back.
A Zhe, don't let me ruin the relationship between you and Sister Yu." There was no one in the hallway.
I stopped and looked at him.
Tang Chu's eyes naturally carried a sense of innocence and cunning, paired with his slightly red eyes and nose, which always easily won the favor of others.
It reminded me of when he first came to my house about ten years ago.
"Tang Chu," I took a step closer to him, grabbing his collar.
"This move never fails, does it?" Tang Chu's face instantly turned pale.
The sound of the elevator arriving rang out.
I let go of his collar, turned around, and walked into the elevator.
He seemed to still be in a daze, standing in place.
I looked at him and smiled, "You clearly know that there has never been any sibling bond between me and her." "Speaking of which, you resemble her brother more."
